He is a Masters student currently working on the 6th deadliest disease in the world - Diabetes Mellitus. It is a rising risk in this modern world accounting for 2% increase every year. Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) is controlled by two hormones, primarily by insulin and its counterregulatory hormone glucagon. His current study focuses on calculating the insulin dose dependent algorithm in a closed loop system for T1DM patients. This work can be of significant breakthrough in reducing the time delays resulting in better prediction accuracy.
